Pallone Chief of Staff Will Work On Open-Access Transmission To Reach NJ’s Offshore Wind Goals
Wakefield, MA – Anbaric, a leading developer of transmission projects, is pleased to announce that Janice Fuller will join the company as President of the New Jersey OceanGrid. Fuller will lead the development of an open access transmission system that will help reach Governor Murphy’s goal of developing 3500-MW of offshore wind by 2030. Janice brings a two-decade record of public policy and environmental and clean energy expertise to the role. Fuller has served as Chief of Staff to Congressman and House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Frank Pallone (NJ-06) since 2015.
“Anbaric is committed to helping New Jersey reach 3500 MWs of offshore wind – and we believe its potential is far greater,” said Edward Krapels, CEO of Anbaric. “We want to be a leader in the New Jersey market for the next decade and beyond and Janice positions us to do that. She will oversee our work building the transmission infrastructure to develop a thriving offshore wind industry in New Jersey.”
“Meeting New Jersey’s offshore wind goal requires vision, strategic thinking, management skills and an understanding of how the State’s businesses, labor organizations, and environmental advocates can join to reach – and exceed – the 3500-MW objective. Janice understands this. Her experience while working in Congress and state government makes her uniquely qualified to lead our work in New Jersey. We are excited to have her on board,” said Clarke Bruno, Lead Partner for Transmission at Anbaric.
“Developing an open access transmission system for offshore wind will be a critical component of helping New Jersey reach its 3500-MW goal by 2030. Anbaric has the expertise and know-how to help get this done, especially because it’s already built two buried transmission lines in New Jersey. I look forward to working with elected officials, business and labor leaders, and environmental stakeholders on a reliable, cleaner and more energy-efficient future for New Jersey,” said Fuller.
Prior to serving as his Chief of Staff, Fuller was Congressman Pallone’s District Director from 2009 – 2015. She has also held roles as Director of Cabinet Affairs in the administration of Governor Jon Corzine from 2006-2009 and Executive Director of the New Jersey Democratic State Committee from 2003 – 2006.
Anbaric’s New Jersey OceanGrid will connect offshore wind to the on-shore grid through transmission lines buried underwater and underground. By developing open-access transmission infrastructure, Anbaric’s New Jersey OceanGrid enables the state to achieve its 3,500 MW goal at a lower cost, while creating competition and protecting the environment.
