Wakefield, Mass – Oct. 27, 2020 – Anbaric today announced that Peter Shattuck will now serve in the expanded role as the company’s President for New England. He will oversee the company’s operations across Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont. Shattuck, a long-time clean energy advocate, joined Anbaric in 2017 and previously served as Vice President of Distributed Energy and President of Connecticut OceanGrid.
New England States have set ambitious clean energy goals that will require significant investments in the electric grid. Each state in the region has set significant carbon reduction and renewable energy deployment targets. Integrating large quantities of offshore wind, onshore wind, solar and hydroelectricity will require electric transmission and energy storage projects across the region.
“Peter’s deep understanding of the clean energy space, experience in the region, and recent work in Connecticut make him the ideal candidate to lead our New England efforts,” said Clarke Bruno, CEO, Anbaric. “It is a critical time for the offshore wind industry, and I am confident Peter’s contributions will be invaluable in supporting our growth.”
“As New England moves to the next phase in achieving the states’ clean energy goals, I look forward to taking on this expanded role and developing clean energy infrastructure to address our climate challenges,” said Shattuck.
Prior to joining Anbaric in 2017, Shattuck spent nine years as Massachusetts Director and Director of the Clean Energy Initiative at Acadia Center, an organization committed to advancing the clean energy future. Shattuck is a graduate of Yale University and Trinity College in Dublin.
